Only in Christ is there freedom to break through the bondage of what we want to do, and realize the wonder of what we are created to be. Only in Christ do we find the truth, and only in the truth are we truly set free, free indeed.

Be honest – have you ever made yourself out to be something that you are not? Why?

When you equate the hand of God’s favor only with positive earthly experiences, you seriously shortchange the intricacy and beauty of God’s gracious hand.

Did you know that God is building a house? In church vernacular, we often speak of the church as the building or the house of God. We do this carelessly sometimes, as we refer to the meetinghouse or gathering place as the “house of God.” Scripture paints a different picture, however. Seemingly, God cannot be housed within the walls of an edifice or structure made by human hands. No, when God speaks of his house, particularly in the New Covenant, he is speaking of His people.

When we say, “To God Be the Glory” we are saying,“Lord, you are something that cannot be ignored. Your nature and character steal the show and dominate the stage. Your very existence is radiant, splendid, wonderful, and significant. I cannot help but focus on you.”

Our unity with the Godhead unites us despite our differences. In fact, our differences become a pallet of beauty and diversity within the “koinonia” fellowship that is the body of Christ.

God has made us to thrive and grow based on our interactions with others. Who is influencing you in the ways of Christ?

The attraction of heaven is God. The attraction of going to heaven is dwelling with God. The attraction is not a mansion, or lavish existence. The draw of our eternal dwelling place is the presence of the Holy One.

Think of the sovereignty and power of the God who created the universe with the words of his mouth, and then think of Him focusing his attention on us, His children.

While division over absolutes is a natural part of life, there is no sense in which a Follower of Christ should take pleasure in or seek out turmoil.

There are plenty of opportunities for us to break God's commandments, to sin against Him, to be in the wrong; so let's not invent more. Stop turning life decisions into moral dilemmas. Stop viewing seemingly equal choices as if God is behind door number one, and the the certain ruin and destruction of your life is behind door number two.

The most difficult days in the Christian life are the ones we convince ourselves that we are alone.
